Initially all of my dials were quite small and produced in a well-equipped workshop at home but with a move towards consultancy in sundial design the larger items must be produced in part by specialised companies. The stainless steel 'vandal resistant sundial' and the 'compass point seats' in the surrounding 'socialising area' designed for the Rotary Club of Melton Mobray  were all made using outside services for the larger items such as the 4ft diameter stainless steel dial plate and its cast stainless steel gnomon. The part-finished components were then machined and assembled where possible in my workshop.

 All my dials are designed individually with calibrations and ornamental features added one line at a time to an accuracy of 0.01° using technology that the finest instrument makers of the past would have envied.

Despite being in my second year as a 'senior citizen', I  will probably always be interested to discuss any idea for a unique sundial but only at a price which reflects the value of true individual craftsmanship!  As a one-man business I always seems to have more than enough to keep me occupied  at least 18 months ahead.  "If a man make a better mousetrap etc..."

 If you have a sundial design in mind but lack the facilities to turn it into enduring bronze or stainles steel, a sad dial that has lost its gnomon, a stolen dial to be replicated or any similar problem I may be able to help provided you are prepared to wait very patiently.

After hundreds of hours of work I now have a CD ROM available containing 150 slides ( many of them animated ) for Enthusiasts, Lecturers, Teachers, and Students at many levels.
