This is a Vertical Declining Sundial with a patinated phosphor bronze dial plate in a cast bronze frame.  The wall to which it will be fitted doesn't run truly east/west but 'declines' 3° 21' towards the west so the layout of the hourlines has to be re-calculated around a rotated gnomon the edge of which is arranged to point at the Pole star.
