Longyearbyen dial is the world's most northerly sundial on the island of Spitsbergen at 78° 13' north.  It was commissioned by Miss Louise Rigozzi of Tasmania who was responsible for most of the visual/aesthetic design elements.  My job was to turn her ideas into a design for a working  24 hour sundial and make the final product from laser-cut components in stainless steel.  Final alignment was achieved on the first day of sunshine after the winter of eternal night.
