The Melton Mowbray dial was made for the Rotary Club of Melton Mowbray in 2003. The dial plate is 48" diameter x 10mm thick stainless steel and the gnomon was cast and machined from stainless steel with a security tenon 300mm into the masonry.  The surrounding 'compass point seats' are 500mm high and have NSE&W etc carved into their tops with lower seats at  at the intermediate points for children.
